See What Wizkid Said About Simi

Wizkid has reaffirmed his endorsement for the talent of Simi. He did this via a Twitter post that has since evoked reactions from Nigerian tweeps.

Sometime in 2017, the Star boy raved about the X3M music singer on social media, acknowledging her brilliance as a song composer which he admitted was evident on her sophomore album titled ‘Simisola’. This act by Wizkid sparked rumors about a possible collaboration between the two singers.

Very recently, Wizkid tweeted about her, reiterating his interest in her music when he said “I fuxx with Simi heavy”, thereby hinting that he is a fan of her music and he could invite her for a collaboration soon.

Shocking: This Young Girl Has Ants Living Inside Her Eyes And No One Knows How They Got There (Photos)

A young girl has been found out to have ants inside her eyes and no one understand how they managed to get inside there.

According to a report by Daily Mail UK, doctors have been left baffled after finding ants in the eyes of an 11-year-old girl after she complained of severe pain and inflammation in her eyes.
Ashwini, of Nellingeri village, in Belthangady, India, told her parents that she felt something in her eyes, and after looking they found an ant below her eyelid.
At that point, the parents thought nothing of it as they believed the insect had landed in their daughter’s eye during her sleep.
But when the problem continued they consulted a doctor at the local hospital and were informed that the ants had probably entered through the girl’s ears.

Eye drops were prescribed to help the irritation subside.
Yet despite the medication, nearly 5-6 ants have been coming out of her eyes daily.
As many as 60 dead ants have so far come out of her eyes in the last 10 days.
On Monday, Ashwini was taken to an eye hospital at Moodabidri by her school teachers.
However the doctors, without seeing the phenomenon for themselves, have reportedly said that they can’t make any conclusions.

People Will Stop Shouting Over What Senators Earn If I Reveal What Governors Earn – Peter Obi

As millions of Nigerians continue to condemn the high allowances paid to Nigerian lawmakers, a former governor has said that if he exposes what governors earn, people will keep quiet.

While speaking as a panelist at The Dialogue organised by Ripples Centre for Data and Investigative Journalism in Lagos on Thursday, former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, said that what governors earn in Nigeria is immoderate.
According to TheCable, the influential politician told the audience that if he revealed how much a Nigerian governor earns, the outrage would be hotter than what trailed the N13.5 million monthly pay of senators.
He said; “None of you knows what a governor earns, quote me anywhere if you know you won’t be here.
“It is something you can’t imagine. You just know the one of senators, and you are shouting, but what if you know that of the governors?”
While comparing Nigeria with the United States, Peter Obi spoke of the modesty in the earnings of public office holders in America.
He said; “America’s GDP is way above Nigeria’s but an American senator earns $174,000 (about N50 million) a year and you can imagine what his Nigerian counterpart earns in a month,” he said.
“In America, governors earn according to their state. The governor of California is the highest paid in America, and he earns $192, 000. The smallest state earns $70, 000. But in Nigeria, I can tell you because I’ve been there, the cost of just keeping convoys alone is in millions. And when people ask me why am I saying these things, I tell them that even if we made mistakes yesterday, can’t we correct it today?”
Peter Obi said while in power, he reduced the vehicles in his convoy to four, adding that he never used a bulletproof car.
“I asked them, why are all these vehicles following me, and nobody was able to explain to me. I didn’t stop it because of them following me, but the cost of maintaining them was high. I asked them why do we need to spend about N30 million fueling these vehicles that 60 percent are empty when following me?” he said.
“What is the essence of a bulletproof car? Anyone who wants to kill you would come when you are out of the car. For eight years I didn’t use, and they didn’t kill me.”
Peter Obi also noted that politicians are fond of making promises they cannot fulfil when voted into power.
“You told us that you are going to solve a problem, and we voted you, and now you are telling us that you met a problem, what do you expect to meet?”he asked.
“You shouldn’t tell us the story of what you met there, we do not expect 100 percent result, but 100 percent effort. We voted you because you said you are going to solve this problem.”

Government Has Removed Dichotomy Between HND And B.Sc In Federal Civil Service – FG

There is no more dichotomy between holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor of Science degree holders as it has been removed by the FG.

The Federal Government has said it has removed the dichotomy between holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor of Science degree in the Federal Civil Service.
With this new development, it has enhanced the entry Salary Grade Level for all category of Higher National Diploma (HND) holders in the Federal Civil Service from Level 07 to Grade Level 08.
Speaking at the 40th National Council on Establishment holding in Owerri, Imo State capital, the Permanent Secretary, Service, Policies and Strategies Office (SPSO), Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mr Ndubuisi Osuji.
He said this was in compliance with decisions reached at the 39th National Council on Establishment. This was contained in a statement on Thursday in Abuja by an Assistant Director, Media Relations, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mr Timothy Akpoli, on behalf of the Director of Communications.
Osuji was quoted to have said that the decisions arrived at the 39th NCE were fully implemented through various circulars conveyed to the relevant stakeholders.
He listed some of these decisions to include uniform Scheme of Service for all category of Nurses with the common nomenclature of ‘Nursing Officers’: Internship for graduate Nurses who do not possess the professional Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife qualification.
Others are enhancing entry Salary Grade Level 08 for all category of Higher National Diploma (HND) holders; and creation of Assistant Education Officers Cadre SGL 07 – 14 for candidates with the requisite qualification in Special Education.
He also said that the meeting would consider a total of eighty memoranda comprising eighteen reference cases and sixty-six new memoranda, submitted by State Governments, Federal Government Agencies and other stakeholders.
In addition, he said the reports and recommendations of both the Standing Committees and Joint National Public Service Negotiating Councils were part of the agenda for the meeting.
According to him, the previous decisions of Council on the creation of new cadres, amendment or elongation of existing cadres, have been collated for inclusion in the on-going review of the Scheme of Service due to be published soon. This, he noted, would achieve the twin objectives of producing a single reference document for all cadres/professional groups in the Civil Service, as well as reduce the numerous requests for clarifications and interpretation on various establishment decisions of Council.
Osuji urged the participants to bring their wealth of experience to bear during the deliberation, saying that the experiences of the officials have place on them a unique position to evaluate the memoranda and recommend measures that would have positive impact on service delivery, as well as improve the processes and system of operations in the Civil Service.
The Head of Service, Imo State, Mr Callistus Ekenze, in his address said that the meeting will signpost a lot of issues and throw up matters that will at the end gladden the mind of workers.
He called on all participants to give their best and contribute constructively to issues that will be raised. The NCE is a forum where the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Head of Service of the 36 states of the Federation and Permanent Secretaries (Establishment) in both the Federal and State Civil Service meet yearly to deliberate on matters affecting the Civil Service, especially the scheme and conditions of service.

Mother From Hell: Woman Beats Her Own Baby To Death While Trying To ‘Rid The Child Of The Devil’

A woman has reportedly murdered her own baby in a most gruesome manner while allegedly trying to rid the child of the devil.

It has been reported that one Evelyn Jacobs, the mother of a seven-month-old baby, who believed her child was possessed by demons, allegedly beat the infant continuously for two days in an attempt to perform an exorcism.
According to a report by IOL, some shocking details of how the baby was murdered were revealed in a South-African Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday during the bail application of Evelyn Jacobs.
Jacobs is accused of killing her baby after she and her co-accused, Emmanuel Welcome, apparently tried to perform an exorcism on the child.
The court heard that the infant allegedly suffered ongoing abuse for about two and a half days in the hands of Jacobs and Welcome.
According to the testimony of the investigating officer, Detective Constable Kgositsile Taolo, the incident occurred after Welcome told the mother that her child was possessed by demons.
“According to the testimony of a witness who wishes to remain anonymous, on October 12, 2016, the accused (Jacobs) and a friend, Veronica, went to Welcome’s shanty on October 12 last year. Jacobs had her seven-month-old baby with her at the time,” Taolo told the court.
“When they arrived at the shack, Welcome said the child was possessed by evil spirits. The mother concurred and the two accused then beat the child with open hands across her body and head.
“Welcome also took a Bible and started hitting the child with the Bible on her stomach. Later that night, the child could not sleep as she was in pain,” said Taolo.
He added that the assault on the child continued the next day.
“The witness said the next morning, she was woken up by the baby’s cries. When she looked at where the child and the mother, as well as Welcome, were sleeping, she saw them hitting the child with their open hands.
“She asked the two accused to stop, as they were hurting the child and could end up killing the baby.
“They, however, continued and she (the witness) took the child. As she was about to leave with the child, Welcome grabbed the infant by the feet.
“A tug over the infant then ensued. The mother came and assisted Welcome and the two successfully managed to get the child away (from the witness).
“The mother then placed the child on the bed and handed Welcome a rope, which she instructed him to hit the child with.
“Jacobs took off her slippers and hit the child with the shoes. The child was crying and the witness again tried to take the child, but was unsuccessful.”
According to Taolo, Jacobs took a sjambok (leather whip) and used it on the child. The witness could no longer witness the abuse and went out of the shanty and cried.
“The mother followed her and told her not to worry about the child as they saw that the child was not human but a snake.”
Taolo said the mother returned to the shack and the abuse continued.
“The witness went back into the shack and saw the child lying on the floor. She again asked the accused to leave the child alone. She told the mother that they had to feed the child and tried to give it milk. As she was feeding the child, the mother took the bottle and poured the milk out.
“She then mixed some salt and water and gave it to the infant. The child refused to drink the salt mixture. The mother again beat the child and Welcome took the jug containing the salt water mixture and poured it onto the child’s face.
“The child then stretched out her hands and kicked as the water was poured onto her face. The mother said that it was a sign of evil spirits and that she was sticking out her tongue like a snake. The mother told the witness to step away from the child, warning her that she would suck her blood.
“She then took the child by the feet and placed her on the stoep (a veranda in front of a house), close to a dog which was on a chain. The witness again took the child, fearing that the dog might bite the child. However, the mother grabbed the child and hit her over the head,” he said.
The witness, who could not stand the ongoing abuse, left both the accused with the child.
Taolo said the witness later went to check on the child and found that her right foot was bleeding. When she asked the mother about the injury, the mother responded by saying that the child belonged to her.
According to the witness, the situation got even worse after the child started crying again the next morning.
“The mother took a bucket with water and put salt, as well as cleaning agents, into the water. She mixed all the ingredients together and bathed the baby in it. When she took the baby from the bucket, the child’s body was stiff and foam was coming from her mouth. The police and an ambulance were then called,” he said.
Taolo told the court that the child died in a gruesome manner and opposed the granting of bail to the mother of the child.
“The accused has no previous record or pending cases. However, the manner in which this innocent, defenceless child died, was gruesome. This is a small child who has been robbed of her future,” he said.
He said the family of the accused were also against her being granted bail.
“The accused has two other children, a six-year-old boy, and a one-year-old daughter. The children are staying with family in Pampierstad. The accused has no contact with the children and the family want it to remain that way.
“They fear for the safety of the children should the accused be released,” he said.
Jacobs’ legal representative, Meghan Kleinsmith, pointed out that the accused had already been in custody for a year and almost six months and argued that this was grounds for her to get bail.
The State, represented by Advocate Shareen Links, however, said that Jacobs had, during an earlier appearance, opted to abandon her bail awaiting the outcome of her psychiatric report. The results of the psychiatric report indicated that she was fit to stand trial.
Magistrate Cornelia Voster denied Jacobs’ bail application.
The matter was postponed to later this month, awaiting a decision from the Director of Public Prosecutions on whether the matter will be transferred to a higher Court.
