Barcelona’s Airport Unable To Expand Because Planes Can’t Fly Over Lionel Messi’s House.

The president of a budget Spanish airline claims Barcelona’s airport is unable to expand as planes are not allowed to fly over Lionel Messi’s house. Vueling chief Javier Sanchez-Prieto, via Marca, claims the area of Castelldefels where Messi and other Barca stars live, on the outskirts of Barcelona, has an environmental restriction over it.

It’s located just 10km away from the airport, one of the busiest in Europe.

Airline bosses were hoping to add more runways in order to allow extra movement in and out of the city.

But Sanchez-Prieto says the proposed expansion can’t happen “because you cannot pass over where Messi lives.”

The agitated president added: “This doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world.”

Idyllic Castelldefels is just a short 12-mile drive from the iconic Nou Camp and boasts stunning views out into the Med.

It is the exclusive hideaway where Philippe Coutinho also recently bought a house.

The stars all live in a small area know as Bellamar.

Ivan Rakitic revealed last year that Messi had bought his neighbour’s house, purely because he “wanted to be alone”.

‘Nigeria Now World’s Largest Petrol Importer’ – NNPC

Nigeria is the only member country in the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) that imports petrol and is currently the largest importer of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in the world, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Baru, said in Abuja yesterday.

Baru, who spoke through NNPC’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Upstream, Alhaji Bello Rabiu, at the 2018 Oloibiri Lecture Series (OLEF) while responding to questions from delegates, said the country had reached such import level because the refineries had not worked to their maximum capacity.

The OLEF, organised annually by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Nigeria Council, in commemoration of the first oil well drilled in Nigeria at Oloibiri in Bayelsa State in 1956, brings together key industry players to chart the right path for the oil sector.

“As we speak today, Nigeria is the only OPEC country that imports petrol and we are the largest importer of PMS in the world,” Baru said.

“We actually import one million tonnes of PMS every month into a country that produces oil and gas and has refinery. It is a shameful thing, it doesn’t make sense and that is what we are trying to address,” he added.

He said the refineries have not been operating at maximum capacity, but that the NNPC was working to address these challenges with the imminent announcement of investors who would bring in funding for the repair of the plants.

“Upgrades of our refineries from the current name plate capacity of 445,000 barrels of crude oil per day (bpd) to at least 1million bpd is the focus. Discussions with relevant investors and financiers are ongoing. The expectation is that the refineries will be fully back on stream by December 2019,” he said.

The Chairman of SPE Nigeria Council, Mr. Chikezie Nwosu said the SPE-OLEF now in its 18th year, had become a forum that brought together key industry players to discuss on topical issues in the energyindustry with a view to influencing the right policy direction to enable the growth of the industry and the economy.

Earlier, in an oil industry address, the GMD announced that Nigeria had seen the most aggressive drop in gas flaring from a peak of 2.5 billion standard cubic feet per day few years ago to about 700 million standard cubic feet per day.

Viewers Shocked As Popular Actress Drinks Her Own Urine Live On TV (Photos)

Popular English actress, Nadia Sawalha recently drank her own urine live on today’s episode of Loose Women, a popular English TV show, it has been revealed.

The atress who is also a TV presenter drank her wee on the show to demonstrate urine therapy which involves drinking your own urine and massaging one’s skin for cosmetic or medicinal reasons.
Nadia said she would only drink her urine if the loose Women producer did it first.
She said: “We do get asked to do a lot of things by our producers and so I said I’d do it if Ashely does and he said he would…he never imagined I’d make him do it.”
Ashley then came on screen and drank his wee to the screams of the audience before Nadia followed suit.
Her fellow panellists were disgusted as she grabbed her body fluids and knocked it back.
Denise van Outen gagged and looked like she might puke and said: “There’s bits in it!”
After drinking it back, Nadia scrunched up her face at the taste.

There was a little left in the jar and she jokingly told Denise to “put her finger in it”.
Andrea said; “Put a lid on it, you can’t ask someone to put their finger in your wee.”
Afterwards, they showed a clip of Nadia’s best pal Kaye Adams who also took on the challenge.
Standing out in the snow, Kaye showed the camera a shot glass of her wee before knocking it back.
However, the panellists weren’t convinced it was wee and some said it looked like water.
Andrea said: “We’re going to have to ring her and see?”
Kaye later phoned in and promised it was real.
Gemma Collins was a guest on the show later on and said she wouldn’t be taking on the challenge.
She said: “I think if it’s come out of you, why would you want to put it back in?”

Video: Arsenal 0 – 3 Manchester City [Premier League] Highlights 2017/18

Arsene Wenger’s position at Arsenal looks increasingly precarious after a second thumping defeat by Manchester City in five days.

Manchester City delivered another sublime show of attacking brilliance as Pep Guardiola’s side marked the manager’s 100th game in charge with a 3-0 demolition of hapless Arsenal.

City beat Arsenal by the same scoreline in Sunday’s EFL Cup final win at Wembley, giving Guardiola a first trophy after 18 months in English football.

And the runaway Premier League leaders – now 16 points clear of rivals Manchester United – blew Arsenal away before the break, becoming the first team to score three goals away to the Gunners in the first half of a Premier League match.

Arsenal made a decent start but Leroy Sane fed Bernardo Silva for a glorious opener after 15 minutes, and the Germany international was then involved in a stunning team goal as David Silva – who was on target at Wembley – added a second.

Sane scored the third before the break, finishing off another superb move, as Arsenal were regularly sliced open at a half-empty Emirates, the stadium adorned with blue lines in the snow.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a second-half penalty saved and another heavy defeat increases the growing pressure on Arsene Wenger, whose side are 10 points outside the Champions League qualification places, as sensational City close in on the title

Henrikh Mkhitaryan urged Arsenal to “fight” for Wenger in the build-up to the game and Ederson had to save an early sighter from the Armenia international, while Vincent Kompany deflected a cross from Aaron Ramsey into the chest of City’s goalkeeper.

But the visitors scored with their first meaningful attack, Bernardo Silva netting a brilliant strike.

Sane drove at the Arsenal defence with pace and skill, slipping in the Portugal international, who worked the ball on to his left foot and bent a glorious curler into Petr Cech’s top-right corner.

Ederson beat away Granit Xhaka’s long-range free-kick, the goalkeeper then diving to his right to cling on to a sharp Ramsey strike.

But City’s clinical cutting edge sliced Arsenal open with another breathtaking attack after 27 minutes.

Sane was at the heart of it again, bamboozling Shkodran Mustafi and feeding Sergio Aguero, who laid the ball into David Silva’s path. The Spain international’s first touch was perfect, the second lashing a left-footed finish beyond a helpless Cech.

City were rampant, a glorious third arriving within five minutes, Sane this time on target.

Aguero’s clever touch on the halfway line created acres of space in the Arsenal defence, Kevin De Bruyne sliding Kyle Walker clear to square a low cross for Sane to roll the ball home.

Nicolas Otamendi’s poor challenge on Mkhitaryan offered Arsenal a lifeline shortly after the restart – the Gunners having been booed off at the break – but Ederson dived to his left to keep out Aubameyang’s tame penalty.

With the game won before the break, City were understandably less incisive, some sloppy passing marring their second-half display, while Walker limped off with 20 minutes remaining.

Cech denied Aguero his 200th goal for the club but Guardiola could not have hoped for a more comprehensive victory to mark his City century, with Wenger left to wonder how to fix a team that has been heavily beaten three times by the league leaders this season.

Video: Las Palmas 1 – 1 Barcelona [La Liga] Highlights 2017/18

Lionel Messi scored for the first time at Estadio Gran Canaria but the LaLiga leaders failed to beat Las Palmas on the road.

Leaders Barcelona opened the door for Atletico Madrid in the LaLiga title race as they were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw away at relegation-threatened Las Palmas.

After Antoine Griezmann inspired Atletico to a 4-0 win on Wednesday, Ernesto Valverde’s side knew a win would restore their seven-point cushion before they face their nearest rivals at the Camp Nou on Sunday.

Lionel Messi thundered in a 21st-minute free-kick to put Barcelona in front and, in the process, score for the first time at the Estadio Gran Canaria.

However, the struggling hosts were gifted the chance to equalise straight after the break, Jonathan Calleri confidently converting a penalty after Matias Aguirregaray had seemingly been fouled at a corner, and Barca could not find a way to restore their lead against a resolute home side.

While the draw sees Barca extend their unbeaten league record, they are now just five points clear of Atletico in second.

And it is now only three wins in their last seven outings in all competitions for the Catalans, a run that will concern Valverde ahead of a critical run of fixtures, with the visit of Atletico coming just 10 days before the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Chelsea.
