Hon. Aliyu Ahman-Pategi Denied Dumping APC For PDP

The Member, Federal House of Representatives representing Edu, Moro and Patigi Federal Constituency, Hon. Aliyu Ahman-Pategi has denied ever dumping and defecting from the All Progressive Congress APC to the People’s Democratic Party PDP in the recent season of defections that reign in the National Assembly. He made the denial after attending HRH Etsu Patigi’s second day Sallah celebration called Nko.

Recalled that Hon. Aliyu Ahman-Pategi’s name was among the 37 Members of House of Representatives whose names were mentioned as those defecting to the opposition People’s Democratic Party PDP. The purported defections were not unconnected with the political travails of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki. However, since then, Hon. Bahago as he is commonly called has not visit his constituency to officially announce his defection as widely circulated in the media despite several concern by his constituents to know where he truly belong. The concern was born out of the fact that Senator Bukola is seen as the political leader of the camp where he Hon. Aliyu belong and the people are not happy about what they described as political dictatorial relationship. Hon. Ahman-Pategi who made reference to the public declaration by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Chatta Umar OON, Etsu Patigi that there is no going back on his support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection bid said his decision to remain in APC is guided by his people who elected him to the National Assembly on the platform of APC and who have not given him order to leave the All Progressive Congress, APC for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and as such he will not leave. With this development, it is obvious the long political marriage between him and Senator Bukola Saraki is heading for a crash which the people of his constituency described as a welcome development and political liberation.

Earlier, Hon. Nma Abdullahi who said he is still the APC Party Chairman of Patigi LGA said people should disregard the inclusion of Hon. Aliyu’s name among the defectors as he, Hon. Aliyu was not consulted before including his name and the act was a mere political blunder aimed at causing disaffections between Hon. Aliyu and his people who have passed vote of confidence on President Buhari and the APC.

Hon. Pategi congratulates the people of Edu, Moro and Patigi Federal Constituency for the successful celebration of Eid-il Kabir and pledged his continued loyalty to the wishes of his people at all time.
