Porn Shown To Road Users As Hackers Hijack Electric Billboards. Photos

Commuters walking through the bustling heart of Perth, Australia were greeted with an unholy sight on Thursday after an electronic sign was hijacked to show the popular XXX website Pornhub. Hundreds of passers by were exposed to the saucy images for up to an hour on the rigged noticeboard in Yagan Square, according to ABC News.

The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) is currently investigating the porn outbreak.

“Yagan Square has two touchscreen wayfinding signs, one at each entrance of the William Street Mall,” a spokesperson for the MRA told ABC.

“Unfortunately, it appears that these screens were compromised this evening and, for a brief period of time, some inappropriate content was displayed on one of the screens.

“Both screens were immediately turned off and power has also been switched off to the units to eliminate all possibilities of a recurrence.”

Nobody’s sure if anyone interacted with the adult website while it was live on the touchscreens, but Twitter users had a laugh about it regardless.

For some, it was likely quite a familiar sight, with Pornhub ranking as the 23rd most visited website in Australia last year.
